Since its inaugural arrival in 2014, the music-and-community event known as Porchfest has been giving local music lovers an intimate and chill way to witness well-established and emerging musical acts in a downhome, and free, setting. The bands perform on porches, food and beer trucks abound, and the family-and-dog friendly event (including the canine-specific Poochfest area) remains one of the more inclusive and laid-back Northeast Florida music festivals.

The scheduled lineup of bands this year includes styles for every taste, including sets by local psych-heads Kairos Creature Club; progressive hip hop from Kale That Raps; the straight-up country rock of Dean Winter and the Heat and the eclectic jazz sounds of Madre Vaca. In addition, scheduled performers include Annie Dukes, Baba Caiman, Broadway Louie, Cacique Jakar, Dejah Symone, Ebonique, Future Joy featuring Michael Wilbur of Moon Hooch, Glazed, J & The Causeways, Kuf Knotz & Christine Elise, La Tribu Royale, Lauris Vidal, Luci Lind, Mecca thA Marvelous, Rambler Kane and Sunriver.

The Jacksonville Porchfest is held from noon-8 p.m. Saturday, November 9 at Klutho Park, 204 W. 3rd Street, Springfield. For full details of event, lineup and a festival map, visit here.
