Beginning in February the Jacksonville Music Experience and WJCT Public Media will pair internationally-acclaimed artists with local and regional acts for the JME Soundstage Series. It’s a season of concerts aimed at building community through the kind of music discovery we’ve been doing here at jaxmusic.org, on the radio at The Independent 89.9 HD4 and via our twice-weekly newsletter but… like… in person!
The series features headliners Rahill, Levitation Room, Shannon and the Clams, Being Dead and Ghost Funk Orchestra. In addition to the headlining acts, each concert will introduce audiences to emerging local and regional artists, with performances by Sun Child, K.UTIE, Patsy’s Daydream, Siichaq, Kale That Raps and more. Held at the WJCT Soundstage in Downtown Jacksonville, each community-focussed event will feature a local vendor market, food trucks and more.
Savvy followers of JME will recognize most, if not all, of these names. On the strength of their 2024 releases, both Shannon and the Clams and Being Dead landed JME’s list of the Best Albums of 2024. Rahill’s 2023 effort, Flowers at Your Feet, was on our list last year. Levitation Room popped on our concert picks earlier in the year before they nearly sold Voo Swar in Atlantic Beach. And all the scheduled local acts had tunes on our list of the Best Local Songs of 2024. So it goes without saying, we’re stoked to bring all these artists into our building (if you haven’t yet seen a show on our Soundstage, well, it’s pretty darn cool).
A Note About Tickets and Pricing for the Soundstage Series: We’ve made an effort to make these shows accessible, and part of that is low ticket prices. As part of our mission to build community through music discovery and introduce audiences to artists from around the world – including those making music in the Jacksonville area – ticket prices for each show will be significantly less than market value, and ticket buyers will also have the opportunity to purchase tickets for the entire series at a discounted rate. Tickets for individual shows are $25. Tickets for the entire series (four shows) are priced at $80.
Dates, times, ticket links and other pertinent information below. Hope to see you there… er… here in 2025!

The group’s seventh studio album, 2024’s The Moon is in the Wrong Place (produced by longtime collaborator, the Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach) spent weeks at the top of the college radio charts, and earned praise from Paste Magazine, Spin and more. Shannon and the Clams is recommended if you like indie rock with great harmonies from bands like La Luz, Black Lips and Allah-Las. The Clams are on tour with Austin indie duo Being Dead. The brainchild of composer and multi-instrumentalist Seth Applebaum, New-York-based Ghost Funk Orchestra combines elements of psych rock, jazz and funk into a powerhouse live sound. Ghost Funk’s latest album, 2024’s A Trip to the Moon increased the group’s profile, and their reputation as a can’t-miss live band has landed them on the stages of legendary festivals as Telluride Jazz, Treefort, Montreal Jazz and Levitation. Ghost Funk Orchestra is recommended if you like soul-infused rock from bands like Black Pumas, Durand Jones & the Indicators and Say She She.
