Neighbors! I hope your holiday weekend was great. Having downtime with family and friends is always a plus. Having great tunes along with this is another plus! The music below was that plus. Disclaimer: I had the jams.
I started the show with singer Elmiene’s (pronounced el-mean) latest song “Light Work.” His album Anyway I Can is filled with soul and jazz, and his singing matches the unique chords on display. I also ran back Mereba’s new song “Counterfeit.” She is gearing up for her new release at the top of 2025. I sprinkled in a few dope repeats (JSWISS, musclecars, Butcher Brown) and visited a few throwbacks (A Tribe Called Quest, Flamingosis, KAYTRANADA). It’s a well-versed playlist to start your December with.
Enjoy and add to your rotations. We are in the final month so I will be revisiting the artists and songs that made 2024 funky. Thank you for the support and get ready for your final Saturdays of the year to be correct!
Be good to others and to yourself. #TOTHETOP
