Neighbors! Hope you are safe from Hurricane Helene and everything is at ease. To bring more ease to you, we have the tunes that ran this past Saturday on The Neighborhood.
I woke up last week and was greeted with a list of tunes that were new to my ears. Nothing can possibly go wrong when musician Tom Misch releases his signature rare grooves. “Insecure” touches on how Misch, and men in general, handle their vulnerabilities in relationships. It matches with the staple guitar Misch shares with us. The next tune was from singer Demae. “Regret” is a gradual drumless ballot that will have your mind swooning.
Outside of those tunes, I share a few Duval gems (K.UTIE, Notsucal, GBOR, and Blk Jay), played a funky Zo! and Tall Black Guy remix of singer/emcee Lyric Jones, and gave the neighbors more of the vibes that keeps the walk special. To add on, we played Kendrick Lamar’s new song. He has been handling 2024 like no other!
We hope you enjoy the tunes below. Add them to your playlist and stay tuned for more of the great tunes from near and far. Download the WJCT app to stream the JME Saturday night shows as well as other programming. Be good to others and to yourselves. #TOTHETOP
