It’s your favorite neighbor, Mr. Al Pete, again with the playlist from The Neighborhood’s January 13 show (every Saturday at 9 p.m. on WJCT News 89.9). Each week brings a new dose of contemporary hip hop and R&B, classic soul and more. And on this walk through the neighborhood, I played the legend Lupe Fiasco, and cuts from two of my favorite albums of the year (read here): One from Terrace Martin and Alex Isley’s collaboration and another from Kaytranada. And I was feeling a bit jazzy so I played tunes from Gregory Porter and George Benson.
Check out the playlist below from episode two. The links are attached for you to enjoy on your preferred streaming platform, and add ’em to your playlist. See you next time in the Neighborhood on the Saturday, January 20.
