Summer of Sharing | Who Wants Free Music?

The Jacksonville Music Experience is all about sharing — It’s what we do all day long on The Independent 89.9 HD4 when we share the latest from new and inventive artists. And what we do on jaxmusic.org when we dive even deeper to share the latest music news, reviews, profiles, and live music events. 

But this summer we’re sharing even more, with the Summer of Sharing. We’ve teamed up with a handful of local partners — venues like the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and Intuition Ale Works, independent music stores like Tiger Records — and some of the coolest independent record labels with international rosters to give away free music all summer long, including concert tickets, vinyl, swag and more.

The giveaways will be carried out via our Instagram profile: @jmejaxmusic. But we’ll be giving you, dear newsletter subscriber, a heads up on all the giveaways.

For our first giveaway we be dropped two copies of Sharon Van Etten’s monumental new album, We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong, at Tiger Records, along with a batch of goodies from both us and Tiger. In the same week, we gave out two free tickets to see alt-country faves American Aquarium at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall last night. The Raleigh-based quintet’s latest, the 10-song Chicamacomico (out now on Thirty Tigers records), is another anthemic offering from a band known for its emotionally-charged, genuine-country anthems.

Concert ticket giveaway rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. ODDS OF WINNING WILL DEPEND ON THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE ENTRIES RECEIVED DURING THE GIVEAWAY PERIOD. ALL APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

Eligibility: The giveaway is open only to legal residents of the United States who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry.

How To Enter: To enter the giveaway, individuals who satisfy the eligibility requirements set forth above must visit www.theamp.com and fully complete the official online entry form during the Giveaway Period. Completion of all required personal information on the official online entry form will result in one (1) entry in the Giveaway. Individuals can enter multiple Ticket Giveaways but cannot enter the same Ticket Giveaway multiple times. No other method of entry will be accepted. Limit one (1) entry per person during the Ticket Giveaway. Additional entries beyond the specified limit will be void. Persons may not enter using robotic, programmed or any other automated means of entry.

JME nor The St. Augustine Amphitheatre are not responsible for late, incomplete, void, corrupted, misdirected, or otherwise erroneous entries (including reproduced or photocopied entries) or for any problems, malfunctions, or technical difficulties that arise in the entry process. Any incomplete or incorrect entries will be void. Proof of submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by the Promotion Entities. Once submitted, all entries shall be the property of JME and The St. Augustine Amphitheatre will not be returned. All entries submitted in compliance with these Official Rules and not otherwise disqualified are considered “Eligible Entries.”

Winner Selection: All Eligible Entries received during the Ticket Giveaway period will be gathered into a database at the end of the Giveaway Period and a winner will be chosen at random therefrom shortly thereafter from all Eligible Entries. The potential prize winner will be notified within 24 hours of the last day of the Ticket Giveaway Period, via email. In the event the potential prize winner does not respond to JME and The St. Augustine Amphitheatre’s notification or does not accept the Prize (defined below) within one (1) business day of notification, then the potential prize winner may be deemed to have forfeited the Prize and a new winner may be randomly selected from the remaining Eligible Entries, at JME and The St. Augustine Amphitheatre’s sole discretion. Each entrant is responsible for monitoring his or her e-mail account for prize notification and receipt related to the Ticket Giveaway. In addition, the potential prize winner may be required to present valid identification to receive the Prize. If the potential prize winner does not fulfill these requirements or the potential winner fails to comply with these Official Rules, then he or she will be disqualified, the Prize will be forfeited, and a substitute winner may be selected from the remaining Eligible Entries. The Prize may not be awarded if an insufficient number of Eligible Entries are received, as determined by JME and The St. Augustine Amphitheatre.

Odds: The odds of winning will depend on the total number of Eligible Entries received during the Ticket Giveaway Period.

Prize: One (1) winner of each Ticket Giveaway will be eligible to receive a pair (2) of tickets to such concert selected. 

Prize Conditions: All Prize details shall be determined in the sole and absolute discretion of JME and The St. Augustine Amphitheatre. The Prize is non-transferable and non-assignable, with no cash redemptions. JME and The St. Augustine Amphitheatre reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or any portion thereof) with a prize of comparable or greater value at its sole and absolute discretion. JME and The St. Augustine Amphitheatre will not replace any lost, misplaced, or stolen Prize (or any portion thereof). Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.

Release: By participating in the Ticket Giveaway and submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to (a) be bound by these Official Rules, including all entry requirements, and (b) waive any and all claims against JME and The St. Augustine Amphitheatre and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, “Released Parties”) for any injury, damage, or loss that may occur, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the participation in the Ticket Giveaway or from the receipt or use of the Prize (or any portion thereof) or any activity related to the receipt or use of the Prize (or any portion thereof). By entering this Ticket Giveaway, each entrant gives his/her express permission to be contacted by JME and The St. Augustine Amphitheatre by telephone, email, and/or postal mail for the Ticket Giveaway purposes.

The Released Parties shall not be liable to the winner (or any person acting on behalf of the winner) for failure to supply the Prize, or any part thereof, for any reason out of the Released Parties’ reasonable control, including, without limitation, any acts of God, any action, regulation, order or request by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not the action, regulation, order or request proves to be invalid), equipment failure, terrorist acts, earthquake, war, fire, flood, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal), labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, game cancellation, insurrection or riot.

The Released Parties shall not be liable to any entrant for damages arising out of: (i) any printing or typographical errors in the Official Rules or any other materials associated with the Ticket Giveaway; (ii) stolen, late, incomplete, illegible, inaccurate, misdirected, lost, misrouted, damaged, delayed, undelivered, or mutilated entries; or (iii) any other errors, problems, or difficulties of any kind, whether human, mechanical, electronic, network, computer, telephone, wireless service, mail, typographical, printing, or otherwise relating to or in connection with the administration of the Ticket Giveaway, including, without limitation, the processing of entries or the announcement of the Prize. The Released Parties are not responsible for and shall not be liable for any condition caused by events beyond their control that may cause the Ticket Giveaway to be disrupted. Publicity: Each prize winner, by acceptance of the Prize, grants to the Sponsor and the Promotion Entities, and each of their respective designees the right to publicize such prize winner’s name, address (city and state of residence), photograph, voice, statements, and/or other likeness and prize information for advertising, promotional, trade and/or any other purpose in any media or format now known or hereafter devised, throughout the world, in perpetuity, without limitation and without further compensation, consideration, permission or notification, unless prohibited by law.

General: JME and The St. Augustine Amphitheatre reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to amend, change, cancel or suspend the Ticket Giveaway (or any portion thereof) at any time, for any reason, and to randomly award the Prize from among all non-suspect, Eligible Entries received at the time of such action, should malicious tampering or other causes beyond the Sponsor’s control corrupt the administration or proper execution of the Ticket Giveaway (as determined in JME and The St. Augustine Amphitheatre  sole discretion). JME and The St. Augustine Amphitheatre also reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify these Official Rules for clarification purposes without materially affecting the terms and conditions of the Ticket Giveaway.

JME and The St. Augustine Amphitheatre reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant found or suspected to be: (i) tampering with the entry process or the operation of the giveaway or (ii) acting in violation of these Official Rules. Any attempt by an entrant to undermine the legitimate operation of the giveaway may be in violation of criminal and civil laws, and JME and The St. Augustine Amphitheatre reserve the right to seek damages from any such entrant to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Data Collection:  JME and The St. Augustine Amphitheatre will be collecting personal data about participants when they enter the Promotion. By participating in the Ticket Giveaway, and providing any personal or customer data, participants hereby agree to all of the terms and conditions of the privacy statement of JME and The St. Augustine Amphitheatre.
