Khruangbin to Bring ‘A LA SALA’ Tour to St. Augustine in April

Chill vibe merchants Khruangbin are bringing their perma-laid-back brand of dub-psych-rock to the Ancient City this spring, announcing a 2025 extension of their 2024 A LA SALA Tour that features a mid-April stop, alongside special guest Helado Negro, at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre.

The Texas trio of bassist Laura Lee Ochoa, drummer Donald “DJ” Johnson Jr. and guitarist Mark “Marko” Speer continue to tour in support of the acclaimed A LA SALA (Spanish for “to the room”), released last April on Dead Oceans. The band’s fourth studio album is a back-to-basics effort, recorded with their longtime engineer Steve Christensen as the only collaborator, as well as with minimal overdubs.
In addition to extending their tour, Khruangbin have also shared the music video for their third A LA SALA single, “Pon Pón,” directed by the band and Jackie Lee Young. The black-and-white clip features footage from a 2024 Khruangbin show, offering an energetic preview of their live show ahead of their new dates.

Following a handful of New Zealand and Australia dates, Khruangbin bring the world tour to North America, starting in their home state with an April 9 show in Grand Prairie, Texas. They come to St. Augustine one week later on Wednesday, April 16, and from there, they’ll play Miami, Austin, San Diego, Seattle, Denver, Boston and more, wrapping the North American leg of the tour in Portland on June 29. Mixed in are a few festival dates, as well, including California’s Bottlerock and Lightning in a Bottle.

Khruangbin landed a Best New Artist Grammy nomination in November—a true head-scratcher, given that the band has been releasing music for nearly a decade now, but a well-deserved nod nonetheless.

Tickets for the band’s new tour dates go on sale Friday, Jan. 17, at 10 a.m. local time. See their complete slate of shows below.
